On October 1-2, 2015 “The Concordia Summit 2015" took place in New York. More than 400 participants who represented the leading companies from the USA and other countries took part at the conference.
During the event the conditions, prospects, problems and challenges of different regions of the world have been discussed as well as coordination of mutual efforts and cooperation at bilateral and multilateral level between countries and international organizations. In particular, the issues with regard to the countries of Latin America, Middle East, EU, USA and China were paid a special attention.
The plenary discussion about the situation in Ukraine showed a high interest. At the discussion former President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko, Head of the Parliament Committee of Ukraine on Foreign Affairs H.Hopko, Head of the Odessa Regional State Administration M.Saakashvili, former Poland President A.Kwaśniewski, Member of Parliament of Ukraine M.Ionova took part. The representatives of Ukraine strongly condemned the military aggression of Russia in the East of our country as well as the illegal annexation of the Crimea. They have also called on political, economic, humanitarian and military support from the US and other countries.

At the conference Vice President of the United States Joe Biden delivered a speech in which he paid a special attention to Ukraine. He emphasized that the biggest challenge for the world and for Ukraine is corruption, which prevents the internal development of countries. He said that without the support of academia, NGOs, business community, the national governments could not fully develop their countries and carry out reforms. Vice President called on business community to invest to Ukraine and make a contribution to the transformation of the country for the better.
