At the beginning of the film at the Ukrainian Institute of America the diplomat of the Consulate General delivered brief opening remarks referred to the event in support of Oleh Sentsov and Nadiya Savchenko who had been illegally detained by Russian authorities.

Ms. Olena Sidlovych, the executive director of the Institute delivered a short introductory speech to the audience.
Materials with information on  Oleh Sentsov, Nadiya  Savchenko and " Ukrainian Films Week", organized in Kyiv from September 3, 2014 till September 9, 2014 were shared among the visitors during the event.
The event was held with the participation of the American public, academic and student community, the Ukrainian community in New York.
