U.S. FDA Inspections
The U.S. Food Safety Modernization Act ("FSMA") requires the U.S. FDA to inspect food facilities located outside the United States if they manufacture, process, pack or hold food that may be consumed in the United States.
This new requirement commenced two years ago. Many companies from Ukraine are unfamiliar with the nuances of U.S. FDA inspection procedures and may seek guidance.
Please feel free to contact the Consulate General of Ukraine in New York for assistance.
